Ellie Mae Successfully Completes SOC 2 Examination, Demonstrating Stringent Internal Controls
Comprehensive review by third-party CPA assures clients that Ellie Mae meets one of the toughest standards for security, availability, confidentiality and processing integrity controls in the mortgage industry
PLEASANTON, Calif. – March 23, 2015 – Ellie Mae® (NYSE: ELLI), a leading provider of innovative on-demand software solutions and services for the residential mortgage industry, today announced the successful completion of its Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II examination, confirming the company met stringent controls over the security, availability, processing integrity and confidentiality of its systems.
The company’s SSAE-16 SOC 2 Type II report indicates the company’s processes, procedures and controls are in accordance with the applicable Trust Services Principles and Criteria set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. A SOC 2 examination provides assurance to Ellie Mae clients that the company has the proper internal controls in its systems to keep customer information secure and confidential. Formerly known as SAS 70, the SOC 2, type II examination asserts to the operating effectiveness of controls supporting Ellie Mae’s Encompass all-in-one mortgage management solution.
BrightLine CPAs & Associates, Inc. independently conducted Ellie Mae’s SOC 2 examination for the period of January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014.
